A start to coaching

Coaching a Junior sporting team can feel like a pretty daunting task particularly if you have never played the game before. Whilst this is true, coaching can also be one of the most rewarding things you will experience. Coaches are the life-blood of a sporting club as without coaches, our children would not have the opportunity to play this great game.
At Kingsway United CFC, we encourage Parents to participate in the area of coaching by providing support and assistance both at Training and on game days. Once you have coached a team, you will never look back!!
Below are some testimonies from our coaches who at some stage were first time coaches as well.
“I started coaching my eldest son when he was in the Under 8’s, 9 years ago. I had never coached before and had also never played soccer before. My experience has been one I will never forget. I have enjoyed helping the players grow and develop, not only in their skills, but also as people. Some of the players I have coached each year for the past 7 years and seeing them today about to enter the Under 18’s is a very rewarding feeling. It has also been a time where I have been able to bond with my sons which I wouldnt have had if not for the coaching.”
“The privilege of coaching is being able to contribute and serve our young people in a positive team environment. It is satisfying to help develop both football and team skills in a healthy competition in a supportive club. I would recommend anyone to share in the success of our future world changers.”
If you are interested in becoming a coach for the 2018 season, please contact the club via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or see one of the committee members at the Registration Days.
